Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the BullrunData API, MCP server, website, or any related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Description of Services

BullrunData provides a market intelligence API and MCP server that delivers economic indicators, recession probability scores, capital rotation analysis, and investment calculators. Data is sourced from public economic datasets and processed through our proprietary scoring models.

3. Accounts & API Keys

• You must authenticate via GitHub OAuth to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure
• Do not share API keys or use them in client-side code where they can be exposed
• We may revoke keys that are compromised or used in violation of these terms

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Services for any lawful purpose. You may not:

• Resell or redistribute raw API data as a competing data service
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication
• Use the Services to build products that misrepresent BullrunData outputs as your own proprietary models
• Overload the API with abusive request volumes beyond your plan's limits
• Use the Services for any illegal activity

5. Rate Limits & Plans

Each plan tier has daily request limits. Exceeding your limit will result in 429 responses until the next UTC day. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that consistently abuse limits or degrade service for other users.

6. Data & Accuracy

• Economic data is sourced from public datasets (FRED, BLS, Treasury, etc.) and updated on their respective schedules
• Recession probability scores, capital rotation scores, and other model outputs are informational only
• BullrunData is not a financial advisor. Our data and scores do not constitute investment advice
• We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data

7. Not Financial Advice

Nothing provided by BullrunData — including recession probabilities, market regime classifications, investment property analyses, or any other output — should be interpreted as financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

8. MCP Server & Third-Party Integrations

When you use the BullrunData MCP server through AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.), your interactions with those tools are governed by their respective terms. BullrunData is only responsible for the API responses we deliver, not how third-party tools interpret or display them.

9. Availability & SLA

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The API may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

BullrunData is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BullrunData shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Services.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked. You may request deletion of your account data per our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email.
